Peony by Sarah Rudkin is an awesome chunky, hand lettered font. I would also highly recommend visiting her website and checking out her icons for an adorable corgi illustration.

Later this week I’ll be releasing my first attempt at a color font so it seems like a good time to look at some of the awesome examples that are already out there.
If you need a quick overview of color fonts - how they work, where you can use them, etc. - colorfonts.wtf and Adobe Typekit have helpful primers. Unfortunately, support on the web (Firefox and Microsoft Edge only) isn’t great just yet but these fonts are still worth checking out now.

Haven’t done one of these in a while but I was recently looking up pirate fonts (for work) and came across Black Sam’s Gold by Redruth’s Basement Software.
It has a great backstory (based on a real pirate map from a real pirate shipwreck) and the set includes three distinct fonts. The dingbat map icons are my favorite and pictured above but an actual alphabet is also available.

I don’t recommend a lot of cursive fonts (not sure why, I don’t have anything against them) but Konstytucja Polska cleaned by Tomasz Skowroński is pretty great.

Trying to stay in the holiday spirit with my font suggestion, so here’s Xmas Sweater Stitch by Chequered Ink. I’ve seen a few knit sweater looking fonts but what really sets this one apart is the extra Christmas shapes you get in the symbols.
