Okay, time to be more realistic. Instead of aiming for weekly font recommendations and definitely falling short, I’m going to start aiming for monthly font recommendations and probably falling short. This blog is moving to a First Fridays model like it’s a fancy museum or something.
And here’s a great font. Blisk Rhythm by Typhoon Type has a fun retro feel and random dots which I obviously enjoy. You can try it free for personal use.

I’m a sucker for inline fonts and for fonts with a retro feel so obviously I love Cute Maple by Khurasan. It’s free for personal use and you can get commercial licensing or find more fonts on Creative Market.

Okay, back to some fonts. At the moment I’m pretty into Hodgepodgery by Brittney Murphy Design. The messy shading is fun and it offers a nice variety of letters. You can get it free for personal use only.

This name is awfully misleading because Super Bad Font by Eli Shore Productions seems like a pretty good font. It’s a comic-y number that’s free for personal use and available commercially at Creative Market.

Lovely Notes by Darrell Flood is indeed a nice, cute, and neat font just like the promo image claims. It’s handwritten with a Post-it Notes feel and it’s free for personal use.

My font recommendation this week is one of my own!
From time to time I’ll go through and clean up/expand on some of my older fonts. This time I took an all caps font with mixed textured/non-textured styling and a) gave it a lowercase alphabet b) split it up into separate regular and plain styles, and c) added additional characters to support more languages.
As always, please let me know if you run into any installation errors.

It’s Friday. Time to download some new fonts.
Alvaro by Don Marciano is a condensed, slightly rounded typeface that is free for personal use. It’s all caps but includes extended punctuation and accents. I’m especially into the way he handles the numeric characters since I think it’s harder to make them really stand out.
