Back to my very sporadic “monthly” font highlights. 

I’m really loving Together of Love by goodigital. It’s a really playful, hand drawn font with fun inner shapes and shading. Free for personal use only.

The first three days of this year were still winter break and I certainly didn’t want to interrupt my lounging so here’s a first Monday of the month font rec.

That background image may be getting to me but Jagiq by twinletter is a hand drawn, kind of noodle-y feeling font. The family includes two versions but I definitely prefer the “Awesome” option (I mean, it’s right there in the name). You can try it free for personal use only.

In all the excitement* of the election season, I haven’t spent nearly enough time downloading and sharing fonts. Hello Farmer by Nurf Designs is a handwritten, casual number and it’s free for personal use.

Really loving the font Potra by Alejo Bergmann of Rostype. It feels very clean and futuristic and it’s free for personal and commercial use (donations accepted at the Rostype website).

Well, for obvious reasons I missed recommending a font last month but let’s get back to it! I downloaded Good Feeling by Subectype for the sans version but the script pairing is also great. The all caps sans font is free for personal use.

Loving the flourishes and broken line effect on the Beautyline by Putracetol. Free for personal use only.

Loving the font Red Hook by Alexandre Noyer. It’s an all caps font and free for personal use. If you’re into the style, I would highly recommend following @ghostsigns on Twitter for more faded lettering.

Okay, time to be more realistic. Instead of aiming for weekly font recommendations and definitely falling short, I’m going to start aiming for monthly font recommendations and probably falling short. This blog is moving to a First Fridays model like it’s a fancy museum or something.

And here’s a great font. Blisk Rhythm by Typhoon Type has a fun retro feel and random dots which I obviously enjoy. You can try it free for personal use.
